We had a fun evening with my parents and Connor. The best moment of the night was just after cocktail hour, and the bagpipe regiment lined up and prepared to pipe the gathering into the dining room. Connor was sleeping peacefully in his car seat (having fallen deeply asleep on the ride up). We were watching him closely in the moments leading up to the start of the bagpipes. The second the bagpipes broke the silence (and how), he flailed his arms and had an expression of pure shock on his face, before quickly falling back to sleep. We all are still laughing about this!

He truly is a little Scotsman, as he was quite calm and happy the whole time the bagpipe were playing/wailing (and just so you know, a full compliment of 10 bagpipes in a hotel ballroom are very loud and could probably be heard miles away). He spent most of the entertainment night nestled in on either my shoulder calmly looking around or with Grandma.
