Today David realized his life long dream of seeing the one, the only Tom Waits live in concert. It was a fantastic event, with Ian and Meg joining us from Portland. We drove into El Paso Friday afternoon for the concert Friday night. Ali and I had awesome seats, 7 rows back on the right hand side with an incredible view.
Mr. Waits was absolutely incredible. A true performer, with all the power and charisma of a traveling carnival barker combined with a revival preacher. I won't try to capture the pure awesomeness of Mr. Waits as a performer, but we left the show very happy and contemplating quiting our jobs and following him around the country for the rest of the summer.
