It really is our last day now. We decided to head further south today and check out the surfing and beach communities near Valencia. The drive takes you down Highway 101 right along the water and it was a pretty clear day, very easy to do some surfer spotting.
The village of Valencia, itself, was very quaint. We arrived at the tail end of their farmer's market in time to spy super cheap avocados and a great variety of flowers.
One last walk down to the beach, with a stroll along the boardwalk was in order.
On top of the surfers, we caught a glimpse of the other "wild things" on the beach...
the crazy sand squirrel colonies, strategically placed under where people passing by might casually drop food.A quick stop at In and Out Burger (thanks for the ordering help, Ian) and we headed off to the airport.
