On the downhill

So we think we are on the downhill in terms of this remodel. The tile is all installed in the kitchen, and we are really happy with the results. We chose an unconventional 24" x 12" tile rectangles in a dark grey which gives a very modern look to the kitchen. Installation of the cabinets start tomorrow, and hopefully the countertops will be measured by Friday. The big news is that the dust wall has come down (pictured below right), which means the dusty phase is over! We now have a good view of the new kitchen in relation to the rest of the house. What a difference! (pictures to come soon)

Also this weekend, we got busy on getting the baby room together. We are converting the guest room, and we have held off with the work until the last of our visitors were gone. But this weekend we finally took down the bed and started work on repainting. Gone is the garish orange color under a coat of primer, and next weekend we will paint the final baby freindly color. So if your counting this makes only 2 rooms out 9 in the whole house not under some kind of reconstruction.
