Thanksgiving Weekend

As always, the long weekend goes too quickly. We had a great weekend though. In addition to getting our kitchen back and cooking like crazy, we also managed to take 4th in the Geeks Who Drink pub quiz, play a rousing game of Settlers of Catan with new friends, have the best tomato soup and grilled cheese sandwiches at a fun dinner with good friends. Of course there was Thanksgiving on Thursday with our adopted family here in ABQ, where we ate, drank, and laughed our selves silly. Below left Ali cooking away, and below right some delicious cookies which were the first products of the new oven.

Not content with just one Thanksgiving, we decided to cook a turkey with all the fixings on Sunday night too. It was a great celebration dinner for getting the kitchen back, and as a bonus we will have leftovers for most of the week! (mmm, turkey leftovers....) It was really fun to cook for real in the new kitchen, even though we both struggled to remember where we put everything (a lot of random opening and closing of doors).
