House Updates

So the kitchen is playing the waiting game. Stove tomorrow than countertops on Wednesday, then a cascade of work of back splash tiling, electrical, and than the plumbing. We are crossing our fingers for Thanksgiving weekend, but we will see. We still have trim work to do, but in our minds this is the minor stuff.

On the forward progress front, we moved the majority of the stuff from the garage into the new cabinets, so the garage is moving toward empty. Below is our efforts on moving stuff in. We are finding we have much more space to move into than we moved out of, so right now we have a lot of empty space. Our efforts of working are sort of hampered by not having any lights in the kitchen (again, hopefully by next week). The washer/dryer is back and functioning too, much to Ali's happiness.

The exterior is almost finished too. The stucco is finished, and they just put in the siding. We are pretty excited about how this looks. They will be staining the wood when the temperature warms up (very cold here right now) and the final touch up painting needs to be done. Our front door is being fabricated right now, hopefully the final red door will be put installed sometime soon.

Also from the weekend, my parents were in town again looking again at townhouses/condos. It was nice to see them again, and I hope they found what they were looking for. We did have a nice sit down meal with them (the first we have had in our house for a while) after I dug up a card table from the garage. So excited about having the kitchen and a table back!
