More kitchen stuff

A few more photos taken this weekend. We are sort of in a holding pattern until the countertops go in on Wednesday. They are starting on the outside though, and putting on the exterior and hopefully installing our front door. We have had a non functioning front door that is locked with a 2x6 screwed into the wall since we started the project. It will be very nice to have a front door that actually works and will make getting the mail, which currently involves going out through the garage, less of a hassle. We hope that everything will be done by the 17th when the stove arrives. Maybe a possibility, but definetly before Thanksgiving.

We did move into the kitchen though, emptying most of the boxes in the garage and piled haphazardly into the new very capacious drawers. Above right is a picture of the move-in action, where Queen Ali reclining in her throne told the lowly surf (me) which box to bring in and where to locate everything.
