Halloween and Other Signs of Winter

We went to a few Halloween parties this weekend. We thought our idea was quite clever. Recognize us? Think: the Peanuts. Nothing? How about "It's the Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown"? Still nothing? How about Linus and the Great Pumpkin? Get it?

Also, we had the first sign that winter is around the corner. The morning bike ride into work is getting pretty cold, and last week we had a pretty severe cold snap which dusted most of the ABQ metro area with snow and gave a nice frosting of the Sandias (see pictures below). As a bonus, the northern mountains got a lot of snow, so maybe this year NM will get a really good snow year. Looking hopeful, as Wolf Creek opened already. Taos typically does not open til after Thanksgiving, but here is hoping for a good season (and hoping we can actually get out and enjoy it)!
