I am just going to call these destruction updates for the next little while, as it seems like more is being taken out than put back. We actually got the house to a livable state for this weekend, after a good 4 hours of cleaning on Friday. The floor is officially out of the laundry room too, so hopefully the majority of the dust generation is over. They got the footers poured in the crawl space on Friday, which hopefully will enable them to close off the floor again. The front stoop is poured as well.
Today they are redoing the front patio. We had hoped to keep the roof intact, but due to the very strange framing of this part of the overhang, we will have to remove the entire section and frame a new roof portion that is level with the rest of the roof (pictured above in the still intact state). As soon as this is finished, they can put in the front door and move the window to the new location. All told, this has gone much faster than we thought it would, which is great!
