Remodel Updates

So things are rolling along. We passed the plumbing, electrical, framing, and insulation inspections this week. They closed up the gash in the floor, much to the happiness of our cats who can run free again after hours.

Below are some pictures from Thursday night after work. The insulation is finished, and the drywall is proceeding. The guys are moving along at a good clip today and said they would be finished with all the drywall by tonight, just in time for the arrival of the grandmas-to-be for the baby shower tomorrow.

It has been 3 weeks now, and things are moving very quickly, but we are still pining for a finished kitchen. We have only eaten out 2 times since this has all started - a combination of the crockpot and the grill in the backyard have kept us alive. We also have been pretty fortunate, as our friends have taken a pity on us by having us over for meals quite a bit. Below left is Ali doing dishes in the new dishwasher, aka the tub. On the right we see that Ali has been upgraded from a baby bump to a baby bulge.
