Kitchen Updates

Exciting! The kitchen completion draws closer. At the end of last week, the dry wall was completed and the walls were all ready to paint. Since we wanted to paint the ceiling and the walls before the tile was started on Monday, despite my very long trip to Phoenix on Friday, I was up early on Saturday preparing for the weekend job.

Above left is the 3 paint samples we were considering (we wanted to keep the red from the previous kitchen). Above right is my Mom who was very generous and helped out on their marathon condo hunting trip to ABQ. Below are some pictures showing the extra help I was given by Boca. It also illustrates how painting is much easier when you are a giant and can edge the ceiling without the use of a ladder.

We got all the walls and ceiling painted this weekend (minus a little touch up work). They started tiling today and expect to be finished by the weekend. This means we get our washer and dryer back, and they will take down the dust wall in the front room so that we can start the cleaning and rehabilitation of our home. Kitchen cabinets go in next week!
