Days and Nights of Nob Hill

On Saturday afternoon we walked over to the 1st annual Days and Nights of Nob Hill. It was a street fair that took place on old Route 66 (Central Ave) which was closed off to automotive traffic through the historic Nob Hill area of ABQ. Thousands of people walked the streets enjoying the classic car show, 4 live music venues, kids water slides, climbing gyms, food vendors, beer gardens, and generally nice weather of our summer night (it was cool and overcast!). And as usual, the people watching was pretty great.

Our friends that used to live here in ABQ came back for a weekend visit, and we had fun walking and seeing the sights of Nob Hill with them. We grabbed a quick dinner, before enjoying gelato (something we haven't done since Connor arrived on the scene) and walking home to put the baby to bed.

We caught up with all of our friends that had babies while down there, and for a while I felt like I was part of a baby gang, which is sort of like a biker gang only with less leather and more babies. Overall, we had a really nice time and am looking forward to next years event.
