Five years in the ABQ

We celebrated our 5 year anniversary in the ABQ on April 29th! On that fateful night long ago, we rolled into town equipped only with the clothes that we took with us on our Round the World trip. All of our earthly possessions were sitting in an 8x10 storage locker in PA awaiting being summoned to move into the new house.

We spent the next month in corporate housing and getting to know our new city. We spent a lot of time outside enjoying the beautiful weather and the sunlight.....it was exhausting. We soon realized that it is sunny all the time and we could hang out and watch TV and not feel guilty.

And since then? Well, we have fallen in love with the city and the sunny southwest. We have had lots of adventures skiing, camping, sightseeing, and biking around the land of enchantment. We managed to do a little traveling here and there. We got involved in coaching high school rugby. David got a staff job. Ali went back to school. Connor crash-landed into our life. Most importantly, we met some amazing people who are really the main reason we love this place.
