End of School/Changing of Guard

It's been pretty busy at the Casa de Scrymgeour of late. Ali finished school and is 2 weeks into her 4 week rotation at the Women's Specialist Hospital. She heads into work around 7 am and is home around 4 pm. This has necessitated a rearrangement of our schedules so that Connor is not left alone to burn down the house. But she is really enjoying the work being a hospital pharmacist.

We have also had a changing of the guard. My mom left the Thursday before Memorial day to return to SLC to get the house ready for the market, and Ali's parent's arrived for a 3 week vacation/babysitting gig the same week. They have been great watching Connor during the day while we are both at work. In addition to the invaluable childcare, it has been really nice to have them around too!

It is really summer now - no more studying for Ali once Connor heads to bed and the temperature has been creeping up. The next few weeks will be the hottest of the summer, starting the begining of July monsoon season starts and we will be graced by afternoon thunderstorms. We, finally, had our first meal on the back patio pictured above.
(Note the addition of the kiddie table, population: 1)
