Last of the Winter Ski

How quickly the winter passes.  Like always we didn't get out as much as we wanted, but it has been a pretty good ski season during the winter 2008-2009.  We made it up to our favorite local ski location, Taos, last weekend, and we realized that it was our last.
Taos is about 2.5 hours from ABQ so it makes a nice little get away. We typically drive up on Friday and stay there two nights, skiing like crazy during the day, and enjoying the "New Mexiconess" of Taos.  By "New Mexiconess" we mean the inherent charm in this state.  Even though we live here we are always delighted by the otherworldly nature.  Below are some pictures taken during our weekend there.  The left picture is of the diner at the hotel at which we usually stay (how great is that?), a little church lit up with luminarias, and the ristras festooning seemingly every building up here.
We had some good times this season, enjoying the great outdoors, celebrating with friends, and spending time in our little ski town Taos.  Until next season!
