Christmas Day

Some things never change. While we may enjoy the finer things about Christmas, like the food, the goodwill, and the exchange of gifts between friends and loved ones, our furry companions prefer the simple life. Why a simple cloth bag provides hours, literally, of entertainment and perhaps not as much good will.

This year is a first for us in that we are hosting Christmas Day dinner. While hosting the dinner is something we have done before, opening up our home to two little girls is a definite first.

Thankfully, they came armed with their own Christmas presents and a team of potential babysitters so we had no worries.

We kept David's family tradition alive with the Christmas crackers and party favors. Note to self: when having toddlers in the house, must screen party favors for noisemakers first.

We all ate and drank our fill. And then the entertainment woke up. I have never seen Boca so agile or move so fast. Apparently adrenaline works in felines as well.

Poor guy paid the price for his curiosity.
