The deck (at last)

One of the last projects we have had lingering since we reworked the front yard was the construction of the deck in the front courtyard. It will be in that big empty space between the front of the house and the wall in the picture below. Granted it has only been 4 years since we conceived this plan - so just about on pace for us.



Spent about 3 weekends working on it so far. Got the footers poured to support the deck and have attached the footer board to the wall. My goal is to get most of the structure together this long Memorial Day weekend. The only delays I foresee in the work would be due to my abundant help (pictured below). He is impossible to keep away when I am out there working.
