Christmas Day

While not technically Connor's first Christmas, it felt like it. He was up nice and early on Christmas morning and we all woke up as a family to play a little bit before breakfast. The grandparents were going to join us, but they ended up sleeping in (Oupa is still recovering from jet lag). So it was just the three of us, and we dined on yummy Christmas break, lox and cream cheese on sourdough, and espresso, before we put the boy down for his morning nap.

The parents came over and we did the whole gift opening series. He really got into the whole ripping the paper off packages game! Connor got the majority of the items - some really cute outfits and some fun toys.

We then started cooking for an early dinner. We had some good friends over (M and C) for the meal and we feasted on burgundy mushrooms, prime rib, traditional roasted potatoes and pumpkin, and for desert, cheese cake, brownies, and ice cream. Everyone headed to bed pretty early, as we had a busy day of merry making, cooking, playing with the boy. Over all a great Christmas!
