SIck Baby

More trials and tribulations of parenthood. While I know that parents have dealt with sick babies stretching back thousands of years (and we in fact are all the descendants of babies whose parents managed to keep them going), it is still tough to be the parents of a sick baby.

Poor little guy

Connor's mild head cold of last week reinfected his ear, so we had a very sick baby for the last 5 days. We are talking a crying, vomiting, fever wracked, inconsolable little boy. We knew things were bad when instead of wrecking the place and getting into trouble, he just wanted to be held. This pretty much how he was the last few days, nothing would due but the arms of mom and dad. Now admittedly, for a while it was kind of nice - the last time he wanted to snuggle with his parents he was about 1 month old. But it is really hard to watch your kid suffer.

Left: snuggling with mom right: house work with dad.

But he is on the mend now. Today was way better than yesterday, and yesterday was way better than the day before. Today he was about 50% snuggle, 50% getting into trouble. We can make it at least one more day before Ali's parents arrive for a week of vacation (READ: grandchild fix). Glad it happened before they got here, but it sure would have been nice to have help the last few days.

Things are getting better!
