The Chariot

One of the first things we did when we discovered that we were in the family way with Connor was to contemplate all the cool gear (yes, thinking about gear was easier than contemplating a baby) and listing all the cool things we could do with the new baby. One of the first things we came up with was biking around towing the kiddo in a trailer.

Everyone loves the Chariot!

Even though Connor wouldn't be able to use it for a while, we soon started Craigslists sleuthing until we were able to find a Chariot, what we call the Mercedes Benz of bike trailers. Since picking it up, it has sat lonely and unused in the garage until Connor was big enough to use it. Well, the time is at hand!

Our grand plan is to bike to the Balloon Fiesta with Connor in the trailer, check our bikes at the bike valet, than use the trailer as a stroller at the park. So we dusted off the Chariot and have been getting Connor accustomed to riding around in it. So far he really likes it, I think because he is much more comfy than in the Bob. One problem though....he hates his helmet.

Happy baby, no helmet vs Unhappy baby, helmet

We will keep working on him, and sometime in the next two weekends we will hit up the Mass Ascension by bike.
