When you are the offspring of the Whitest Woman in New Mexico ™ the necessity of both sunglasses and sun hat quickly become apparent here in our high desert environment. So, in an effort to protect our paleface, we are trying to get him used to the idea of wearing sunglasses. The first time didn't go so well, but he seemed to tolerate them the next try.
