Instead of hanging out at parent's house, we were treated to a weekend retreat on Lake Erie courtesy of friends of the family. We arrived in town late Thursday and spent Friday packing up and grocery shopping. Ali did find the time to meet her childhood friend, Megan, for a quick catching up before heading out of town.

We had forgotten just how GREEN, green can be.
Saturdays plans included a reunion of our 30 closest friends and family.
Good thing the cottage property also includes a bunkhouse in addition to the main house.
We were all able to eat, drink and be merry into the wee hours.
The weather cooperated (shocker!) letting us take the party outside, too! It was the perfect location to make the announcement of Ali's acceptance to pharmacy school, which David had been keeping secret after learning from the housesitter.
