Melbourne Day 1

Today was a busy day. After an early night, we were up early and made our way to the Queen Victoria Markets for some breakfast and a little shopping. It is a fantastic market with over 1000 stalls of produce, food, souvenirs, clothing, artists, etc.. We also picked up some local produce and meat for dinner that evening. We then wandered into the Melbourne's central business district for a little sight seeing. We attempted to do some opal shopping (Australia's national stone) but were quickly priced out of the market! We ended the day with a ride around Melbourne on one of the city light rails (called Trams). We cooked a fabulous meal than retired for the evening.
