Start of cycling season

Out of the frying pan, and into the fire.  This year I rolled from from rugby season right into cycling season.  Our cycling team, the Penultimates, is now a force to be reckoned with!  We started off in 2010 with 6 riders raising over $7500 for the MS society.  Last year we had an unbelievable 20 riders, raising over $19,000.  As of right now, we are up to 34 riders, and already have hosted one of our two major fundraisers this season, a night of trivia named "Smarty Party" which brought in over $2300.  You can follow our team's blog here, if you need something else in your life to distract you.  Also, you can follow us on team on Facebook here.

Needless to say, organizing the team, putting together rides, designing and ordering jerseys, soliciting donations from local businesses, writing trivia questions, producing a trivia night, and maintaining the team blog has kept my blog energies focused on other things. But I really enjoy doing this, and excited about the growth and the great people that have joined up to participate.

So today during nap time, Ali and I sat down and did a power blogging session, cranking out a few half baked blog entries that have been languishing as well as starting and finishing up some new new ones, all trying to document the last little portion of our lives.
