Birthday Boy

Hard to believe this boy is already two! Learning our lesson from last years toddler overload party, this year we wanted to keep it a quiet affair. Just family and close friends. It worked out well, since my parents were in town. We also had over our neighbors and Connor's best friend, G, and his mom to help us celebrate. I made some home made pizzas, which Connor devoured.

We gave him a very yummy apple spice cake, topped with a mini train candle holder with an engine and two box cars which held the candles. He was so excited by the train he didn't touch the cake, and any time we brought it out over the next few days he just demanded the train. He is a boy of simple tastes. We got him a big lot of wooden train components from Craigslist a few months ago, and have been slowly giving him pieces. For his birthday he got a cool bridge and some trains and he was pretty excited.
