Updates on the boy

Still growing! He just sprouted his first two bottom front teeth. (We have been trying, but pictures so far are elusive). He is still crawling like a maniac, mostly commando but he can do the full hands and knees crawling too. I don't think he likes it though because it slows him down. He has also discovered how to crawl up on things. He is more enthusiasm than skill, and he pretty much throws himself up on things using any available handholds. This has resulted in a lot of tumbles, but don't worry he has been stopping most of his falls with his face. All boy.

Left: Sade is no match for Connor's speed!, right: food time

The big news is that Connor is now two weeks into his daycare. We agonized for two months about whether to do daycare or a nanny. We finally made our decision and Connor has been very happy there since. He is the youngest of the babies in a home care facility that has at most 8 children up to age 4. There are only two babies below two, of which one is his girlfriend Sadie (our friend's baby who is 6 weeks older than Connor).

He loves it. He spends half his time just watching the older kids, and the other half wrecking the place. He gets so tired that he actually falls asleep in his highchair during feedings (is this our son?). So far he is only in daycare far less than part time (about 15 hours), but it will slowly ramp up as Ali's course load increases. We guess that at the most he will be in school about 25 hours.

We also had our first earache. It came on just after we put him down to bed on Wednesday, and woke up about every 30 minutes just screaming. It was a rough night, but we got into the doctor right away the next morning and he is on a course of antibiotics. He was a little slow for a day or two, but he is now feeling better and back to his smash baby ways.

Above, is a little video of his crawling skills - notice he switches back to commando crawling after just a little exertion.
