Updates on the summer and the boy

Yes. We are have been fairly busy recently. Both the busy end to the summer (Ali goes back to school Monday!), and our training for the MS ride has made the weeks since returning from Erie fly by. (A few more posts from our trip to Erie are in the works).

The biggest news on the Connor front is that he is full on commando crawling like a champion. He is slowly progressing to hands and knees, taking a few tentative motions before going to his belly to crawl. He also stood up in his crib the other day. He gets pretty excited about that, so much that he lets go and topples over if we aren't there to catch him.

He's been busy trying new foods, too. Mom and Dad are hoping that we'll soon be able to feed him what we eat. Favorites include sweet potatoes, yogurt + fruit, bananas, grapes, and papaya. He especially likes how frozen fruit feels on his two newly cut front teeth. So, you can see he's been a rather busy boy!

He starts part time daycare on Monday. We have been agonizing over whether to have a nanny or take him to daycare for a while now. But I think we made a good choice. This boy is so busy and active, and craves novelty and excitement, that the hustle and bustle of daycare will be good for him. Of course we are both filled with a little trepidation too, hopefully his first day will go well!

He'll love it! It sounds like he has been busy (and probably keeping you both busy, too!).

A scientist, a student, and a toddler try to make their way through the tumult of everyday life. What will happen to them next? Stay tuned...
