More fun...

By the end of the week, it was beginning to cool off and you can see some storms rolling in. One of our visitors' favorite places is the Bosque(the wooded area along the Rio Grande). We took a stroll along one of the paths to check out what the city has been working on. They are recreating the nature preserve with areas like this pond - you can see a local family of ducks enjoying them selves, with Boh on high alert.

On the way back to the car, we walked on the paved path that passes behind the zoo. I'm ashamed to say this is the closest I've been to our zoo since moving here, something I intend to rectify soon.

We did manage to watch the elephants doing something between a dirt fight and trunk tug of war, and the craziest polar bear in the world. You'd think that the water feature would be the preferred hangout of Arctic dwelling beasties, but I guess not.
