Deep Creek Lake

We moved on to the second phase of our vacation flying up to and traveling to Deep Creek Lake, MD. It is a large man-made lake known for its outdoor recreation (motorboating, jet skiing, kayaking, etc...). It is up in the mountains, so it has been blissfully cool compared to the punch in the stomach of Hilton Head's heat and humidity.
We joined all of my (David's) extended family, which totals 28 people, 8 of which are below the age of 10. Needless to say, it is very boisterous and loud, and the opposite of our previous week (calm, relaxing, quiet). But there are some perks here. We have a pontoon boat, a speed boat, and a canoe (which we can use to escape). The house also has a pool, which is an irresistible attraction to the little ones (and concentrates all the youthful energy in one location). We are both catching up on reading and Ali has focused on her knitting. The best thing here is the full size Pac Man arcade game upstairs. I have spent more time than I am willing to admit trying to beat my current high score of 92,600.
