Last weekend, we met Ali's brother and sisters and their significant others in celebration of both Ali's and her brother's, birthdays. We got in late on Friday night and left in the afternoon on Sunday. It was a really busy weekend, with the drinking of a little beverages, a little gambling, and a lot of hanging out at the pool. Notice everyone in the sun with the exception of Ali, who was working hard maintaining her title as "palest person in New Mexico". She managed to have a good time, despite having two big exams looming first thing Monday morning. Here is David attempting to maintain his nerdy facade. What you can't see is the daiquiri with the umbrella and fruit hiding behind the Economist.
We did go and see a Cirque de Soleil "O", which was like doing a lot of drugs, without breaking any laws. It was a lot of fun, and we really enjoyed spending time with Doug, Anne, Micky, and Lauree. We will be catching up with them on the family vacation to Hilton Head later this summer.
