Real and Fake Thanksgiving

So we started this tradition of having a "fake" Thanksgiving meal a week or so before Thanksgiving as an excuse for us to have the best part of Thanksgiving meals - leftovers. It has become a potluck affair where everyone brings their favorite dishes and a spare piece of tupperware to tke some good stuff home.

You'll notice that even the cats get excited this time of year.

For the actual holiday we headed to our fellow orphan's (translated to mean someone without family in town and not traveling to them) home for a feast of epic proprotions. We are lucky that live live next to a bonified chef, who contributed to the meal.

John and I ended up in a battle for pie baking supremacy. We called it a draw.
