Biking the Bosque

Our new road bikes good a good workout this weekend as we went for a nice ride along the Bosque bike trail which follows the Rio Grande as it flows through the cottonwood trees.  It was a beautiful day, a little brisk (high in the 40's) but very sunny.  Below are two pictures along the trail, the left just before we got restarted after a flat (damn goatheads) and the right a stop after a case of biker butt.

The whole loop took about 1.5 hours with lots of time for taking in the beauty of the day.  There was a visit by the Princess about half way though.

A quick little photo at the end of the ride.  Still standing.  On the way home we went to a totally unhealthy lunch at the Owl Cafe for their world famous green chili cheese burgers.  So basically we erased any health gains we might have made.  Go us!
