Attack of the Zucchini !!

Like the heroes of a bad horror movie, we have been overrun with giant green-skinned aliens zucchini! Our garden consists of some planted tomatoes, eggplant, peppers, and of course zucchini. The garden is pretty much going full tilt now, and we pull off a few tomatoes , a bell pepper, and a few hot peppers per day.

We planted a few zucchini plants in the side yard thinking that they wouldn't really survive the summer on the harsh west side of the house without our tender care (i.e. the intense desert sun would turn them to dust). However, after a few months of neglect, they apparently mutated in the harsh conditions into zuchinni of monstrous proportions as well as being extremely prolific. To date we have pulled off 11 arm sized beasties, with several more on their way. We have been giving away a lot, and converting the rest into zuchinni bread (10 loaves so far) with which we have been bombarding the neighbors.
