Courtesy of a mix-up in our reservation, we ended up with a free night's stay. We decided to use our free day to take it easy and enjoy the city, something we were too busy skiing to do last time.
We started out at a local coffee shop where we watched the passersby while sipping coffee. The time allowed Ali to get some knitting done while David caught the local news.
And, seriously, could you ever get tired of the views?
The town is still decorated for the holidays and still in full holiday swing.
Later in the afternoon, we took the free gondola up to Mountain Village, the ski resort, to watch the days skiers come down off the mountain and planning our runs for tomorrow.
