So excited - our first trip to Taos this season and the snow looks to be awesome. We carpooled up with a group of 10 friends and to keep with the spirit of togetherness we stayed at the Abominable Snow Mansion, a hostel set in Arroyo Secco. Although it was a tight squeeze it made it so much easier to share food and booze, which is pretty much all we did when we got there Friday night. And don't worry, Ali took her fare share of abuse for trying to knit and drink beer at the same time!
We were to the lift early on Saturday and got a great, but chilly - -11F when we woke up - start to the day. The sun came out and made it a gorgeous finish. For David and Ali it was just a warmup but everyone else had been skiing several times already, and they eventually took pity on us.
We ended the day with Taos Cow ice cream and dinner at a local pizza place...divine
